Tea in Sahara with the Avestruz set
Radhika | Aug 19 2008

No, Sting will not accompany us on this occasion, but high tea is being served at some far-fetched corner of the Kalahari because designer Daniel Marcelo Salvatore is serving the beverage in the Avestruz Tea Set. The fuss over the Dark Continent is not so evident because the inspiration from the ostrich fails to be apparent. Agreed this flightless bird assumes the dangers gone away by burying its head in the sand; but the truth is quite contrary. The tea set’s handle is a metaphor of the buried neck of the bird. Neverthless, it’s an intriguing design and the colors used are striking.
