Rotund magic with the Snaidero Acropolis Kitchen
Radhika | Aug 13 2008

What is a hub; it’s a central or focal point in a surrounding that demands all the elements to converge at the point to rendezvous. The hub or the rendezvous point in my house is my kitchen. It’s the place we family members converge to discuss, eat, do homework, work and sometimes even play a few games. The setup adopted in most households is quite the open style, where boundaries for the common rooms are not set. The idea is to let the décor flow from one room to another without strict dividing lines. The Snaidero Acropolis Kitchen bears the spirit of open within its round design. Designed by Pininfarina, the kitchen devotes itself to being the perfect hub. It adopts a round form instead of the traditional rectangular room that we have become accustomed to.

With no set boundaries or walls, the Snaidero Acropolis Kitchen can be placed in the central focus or set in a niche. The curvy approach of the room contradicts the sharp horizontal stance of traditional technique. All appliances, platforms, storage and gadgets nestle into the ergonomic design with ease. It would be amazing to use this futuristic kitchen that so thoughtfully incorporates everything that a house would need in such a stylish way.
