Rainwater HOG: A novel way of storing rainwater
Sasmita | Jul 31 2008

Recent studies have reported that large water resources like the Ganges and Dead Sea may turn into seasonal rivers within few decades. This warns us about the scarcity of water in the coming years. And how can we stop that? Obviously we can’t stop, but we can minimize by reasonable use of rainwater, that is unnecessarily wasted.

Rainwater HOG is devoted to stop the huge wastage of rain water. It can store up to 180L/45 gallons of water within a very limited space of 1800mm x 500mm x 220mm. So even if you have a very small apartment with negligible garden or open space, Rainwater HOG can be adjusted against any wall or on the passageways. This is neither huge nor heavy. This stored water can be further used for various purposes like gardening, bathroom use and laundry works.

Designed by Australian architect Sally Dominguez, Rainwater HOG is made out of 100% eco-friendly material. Being very small, lightweight and strong, it is easy to sift and set. Even no packaging is required if transported from one place to another. It’s an innovative way to save rain water; a step towards dealing the biggest crisis of the coming decades.
