Nature inspired 'Kitchen Tree' appears to be growing

The Electrolux Design Lab Competition is always based on different themes each time it takes place. This year’s theme was “a household item for the next 90 years.” Various designers around the globe, in a quest to win the competition, are showing off their designs, Balin Lee being one of them. Inspired by the growth of trees in nature, the Kitchen Tree incorporates futuristic technology to meet our needs.

A refrigeration unit in the center at the top with connections through the hollow branches to the five pods, the built-in sensor controller, easily adjustable the kitchen tree speaks for its incredibility. When a pot is placed onto the stove pod, the built-in sensors detect the pot, illuminating the touch slide temperature controls. Also, there is a similar slide control system that controls the temperature and pressure in the sink. Do I still need to spend more words on its distinctiveness?

Thanks Balin Lee!
