Denmark’s Jamo has added a new speaker, R 907, to its previous artifact, the R 909 open baffle dipolar speaker. This latest product from Jamo’s factory is a mini version of its original R 907, for it is around 20 percent shorter and 15 perfect less thick than the prior. Also, it comprises of dual 12” woofers in place of the R 909’s 15” woofers, uses a 25mm silk-dome tweeter instead of a Scan Speak Revelator tweeter, but makes use of the same open baffle, exposed basket dipolar design and magnesium cone midrange like the R 907. The Scan Speak Revelator tweeter is isolated from the rest of the speaker through Jamo’s ‘Decoupled Tweeter Technology’, which reduces vibrations transmitted from the front baffle to the tweeter by more than 20dB, producing high frequency. The R 907 available in colors red or black costs $8,999.
