Iron Toaster and Lamp Hairdryer: True eccentricity!

Giulio Iacchetti, Camilo Ayala, Aiko Chino, Michelle Man and Chieh Mii have come up with something that you could call a true innovation! Through normal eyes, we usually see one fixed solution for solving our everyday problems, but seeing objects through eccentric eyes, we can discover new ways to use ordinary household objects and in turn, find an eccentric solutions to an existing problem.

Breaking away from the norm and stimulating people to look at ordinary objects in a new light, ordinary objects can be re-used to solve problems, rather than having one purpose they were initially created for. Taken into consideration are, an iron, toaster, lamp and a hairdryer, which we all use for individual purposes, right?

The Iron Toaster pictured here, consists of a stand for two irons with the metal plates facing each other. The bread is held in between these two metal plates by a small indent in the middle of the stand. Instead of using the heat from the wiring in the toaster to heat the bread, the heat from the iron plate is used.

The Lamp Hairdryer makes use of the normal floor lamp with an adjustable lampshade and an infrared light bulb. Adjusted to point upwards towards the ceiling or downwards, it helps in drying the hair. The heat from the red light bulb lets the hair dry faster when the user sits underneath with the lampshade facing down.
