How many of you are aware of the fact that even if you turn off the gadgets with a remote, you need to switch them completely off from the mains to reduce power consumption? Yes you read it correct, a major part of the mounting electricity bill that takes a toll on our resources is for the reason that we don’t realize the necessity of switching off the lights, fans, TV and other electrical appliances from the mains. The design team of Yen-Ting Kuo, Ming-Xian Sun and I-Pei Chang from Taiwan has conceptualized a system called the Housekeep. The innovatively smart system asks you to plug in all the mains to it and in turn it keeps a tab on your consumption and points out the flaws. Also, the Housekeep allows you to monitor your electricity consumption and reminds you to unplug the devices as a safety measure.
