Groovy Green: Lower water consumption with pedal-push washbasin

Industrial designer Fredrik Stenström has designed a simple washbasin that turns off water supply automatically after you’ve left the bathroom. Similar to a push-pedal garbage bin, the water saving washbasin has been designed with a push-pedal system that only activates water supply when the pedal at the base of the washbasin has been pressed and turning it off when the pedal is released. This simple technique might save hundreds of liters of water in an average household and save a few bucks too.
