Showing concern towards the current environmental scenario, socially responsible companies are coming up with eco-friendly products. Rhyming in league with the impression, GE announced a hybrid water heater, deliberated to help energy efficiency in home. Though it’s still in the phase of development, GE is hopeful of its release by the fourth quarter of 2009.
What’s Different?
Better efficiency i.e. 50% more than previous water heaters starkly differentiate it from the rest. To put it simply, it takes only half the energy to heat water, saving approximately 2500KWh per year. It has a heat pump that first brings the water up to the temperature of the ambient air, and then heats the water even up to 140 degrees F. This water heater is completely user friendly, thanks to an electronic control system. Furthermore, a thermostat adjusts the water temperature as per your requirements.
