Cobra Desk: Minimum is maximum
Jayaprashanth | May 15 2008

Designer Laurie Beckerman has created the very contemporary Cobra Desk that is a surefire attention grabber. Inspired by a coiled up King Cobra, this desk manages to ooze tremendous style with bare basic minimalism. The Cobra Desk has a clean rectangular piece of glass placed on two coiled stainless steel mounts that look very similar to two coiled cobras. These mounts curve all the way down and join together to form a flat base. To pack in some handy functionality, Laurie has given the coiled mounts hollow rectangular upper sections that are meant to be useful storage spaces for some stationary. Brilliant! To catch a glimpse of this visually arresting piece of functional furniture, you can head off to the ICFF Show that is happening in New York from the 17th to the 20th of this month.
