In response to the diminishing available living space and the growing trend of compact living, designers around the globe are coming up with innovative modular systems. The Chodo by Natasha Carolan is a foldaway bed that can be transformed into a seat depending upon the need of the hour. Chodladh in Irish means “to Sleep.” Based on the flexagon principle behind the Jacob’s Ladder puzzle, this modular seating cum bed allows the user to configure the surface according to the requirements. Also, there are voids that allow the user to store stuff like blankets, pillows, pajamas and so on. Beyond its functional aspects, the Chodo is playfully cool, allowing the user to mold it any way they like.
