Damian Savio's Lightway OLED blinds brings sunlight at night

You know a genius when you see one, goes the famous saying. I saw one in Damian Savio, a 23-year-old industrial design student who designed some amazing energy saving window curtain designs for his final-year show at the University of Western Sydney. The whole idea is so simple yet fantastic; the Lightway shutters as he calls them allow the sunlight to brighten up your room in the day, while storing the sun’s solar energy in them. That means in the evening you have a lightway at your hand! A room which is lit up with crazy light designs. This is achieved by using OLED’s and advanced technology of transparent Photovoltaic Nanoscale. This allows the solar cells to store the energy in them while they give this energy off in the evening time by making our pathways, room bright.

Amazing isn’t it. Makes me feel like doing away with my path lights and instead get these in place.
